Like the berries, but inconsistency and price jump making me reconsider new order

I bought the freeze dried blackberries to recreate the Starbucks very berry refresher at home. I submitted a second order buying a larger quantity. I found it odd, half of the containers had small berries with a lot of berry flakes at the bottom and half of the containers has large ripe berries with very little flaking. Is this vendor using a few different types of blackberries? Why so inconsistent, yet no inconsistency within the actual containers. Both were good, but obviously the larger berries with little flaking were better. I want to submit another order, but wish I could request only the larger berries. I tried to buy more, but there was a very limited quantity, so I was waiting for restocking. The price then went up within a day. I was also considering signing up for Prime to receive the lower price(still higher than it was), but I do not understand why with “PrimePantry” has a longer shipping time. I think there is conflicting information on this. Want the berries, but don’t make me jump thru so many hoops just to submit an order. Now I’m rethinking the reorder and this brand.

Delicious!

I work in the backcountry of Montana and coordinate meal planning for camping groups. We like to provide high-quality meals (working hard on trails and camping), but must balance the limited weight and space for packing on horses and mules. We tried several brands this summer for dehydrated and freeze-dried food. This brand was one of the best we tried and seemed slightly more economically priced. All staff seemed to prefer the freeze-dried versions versus dehydrated food: the taste and nutrients were better for freeze-dried. Sometimes dehydrated food can lose flavor and have chewy consistency even when re-hydrated. The blackberries were sweet, delicious and perfect for oatmeal, pancakes and desserts!

I was a little concerned about seeds when I bought the dried blackberries, but they were perfect! The berries were all in one piece and big! They were very flavorful and the seeds weren’t a problem at all. Delicious!

and these dried berries were PERFECT for it

I have been trying to replicate the Starbucks Very Berry Refresher drink at home, and these dried berries were PERFECT for it. However, I ended up eating most of them right out of the container. They are tangy, with none of that tingly aftertaste you get with some store-bought berries presumably treated with pesticides. They are expensive but I think worth it, and I’ll likely continue to order them on a regular basis. Impossible to find these freeze-dried ones locally where I live.

Crunchy Treats

The freeze dried raspberries and the strawberries in this line were better than the blackberries. But the blackberries are good too. They soften quickly added to hot oatmeal. And they’re pretty good as crunchy treats.

great buy- worth a try

I love this product. Its so plentiful for the price that I have yet to get to the bottom yet. I use it for oatmeal, smoothies, yogurt, and even I’m muffins and pancakes. Its freeze dried so has no extra sugar. Just a great product.
