The best TVP mother earth can provide. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to enjoy the benefits of TVP either, soy protein TVP can be used as a low cost or high nutrition food extender in meat and poultry productsand in tuna fish salads. Food service, retail and institutional facilities and families regularly add over 50% TVP to their true meat dishes to save costs and reduce fat and cholesterol. Textured vegetable protein is a delicious product that takes on many different forms allowing it to take on the texture of whatever ground meat it is substituting. Using textured vegetable protein, you can make vegetarian or vegan versions of traditionally meat dishes such as chili, spaghetti bolognese, sloppy joes, tacos, burgers or burritos.

Great for a bachelor that travels a lot. I never get this stuff confused for real meat but having it handy without having to worry about spoiling has been great. Adds taste, texture, and protein to whatever I’m throwing together from out of the pantry without the need to dirty every pot in the kitchen or worry about food going back while I’m not cooking. Ordered several types, some came with silica packs and some didn’t, so I ordered food grade packs to add and extend shelf life.
Not bad. In fact good!

This works nicely soaked, stir-fried with a bit of soysauce or something to increase the overly mild flavor, fried with a lot of chopped veggies for a hot salad or to mix into fried rice or atop steamed rice or chow mein. It’s ALMOST good enough to eat as a raw snack but not quite; it needs preparation. I’ve not decided whether I’m a repeat customer for this one. Once I’ve used it up, then I’ll be able to decide if it’s just the thing to keep about regularly. Mother Earth Products, though, are generally speaking darned good stuff.
Not bacon, but good.

I throw a small handful in the boiling water before adding Ramen noodles. Hey, it’s not gourmet, but it’s an easy way to make something easy, cheap and somewhat nutritious to eat. Flavor is, well, it’s not bacon. But that’s not why we buy the stuff.
Good flavor and texture

These are really tasty. I re hydrated them for soups and I used them in a Chinese dumpling filling and it was so tasty. I even like to take some right out of the pack and eat them like a jerky like snack. This stuff is really tasty and you don’t have to add a lot of seasoning which makes for an easy dinner or quick lunch. I’m vegetarian and my boyfriend is a meat eater and we both love this. I’ve had my jar for almost a month and I still have a lot left even though I eat this all the time.
Like the bits

Wasn’t sure what to expect upon purchase but I am pleased with these bits. I eat them as a salad topper, it adds taste ans nutrition to an otherwise bland salad. Easy to use and a taste I like.
